The Fifth People's Hospital of Sichuan Province is affiliated with the General Office of the Communist Party of China Sichuan Provincial Committee and the Health Commission of Sichuan Province.It is a non-profit,comprehensive hospital sponsored by the government,integrating medical care,health care,teaching,research,and prevention.The hospital has over 500 registered beds and employs 450 staff members,among whom 415 are health professionals.Since 2017,it has been led and developed by West China Hospital of Sichuan University,and is being constructed as a branch hospital of West China Hospital.The two hospitals have engaged in in-depth cooperation in multiple aspects,including brand building,management,technical support,human resource coordination,integrated information system construction,and collaborative two-way referral services.The hospital is a member unit of the collaborative research network of the National Clinical Research Center for Geriatric Diseases(West China Hospital of Sichuan University)and the collaborative research network of the Sichuan Provincial Clinical Research Center for Geriatric Diseases.The Department of Orthopedics and Pain Management is an allied department with the Department of Orthopedics of West China Hospital.Under the leadership of West China Hospital,it has gradually developed into a clinical department with a distinct specialty in the diagnosis,treatment,and nursing of geriatric orthopedic diseases(osteoporosis).
