A service that encompasses multidisciplinary services that provide fall and fracture risk assessment and secondary prevention of osteoporosis in patients aged >60 years. We received referrals (in- and outpatient) mainly from the Orthopedic, Medical and Surgical wards as well as from the Emergency department.
There is a falls clinic where in all patients will be assessed by various health professionals and secondary prevention of osteoporosis will be initiated. All patients will be monitored for at least a year before discharged to the Geriatric clinic for continuation of care.
