Matsuda Hospital
Matsuda Hospital in Sendai, JAPAN is a local rooted hospital consisting of two hospitals, six clinics, three nursing care health facilities and several cooperation facilities.
Hospital and clinics serve all fragility fracture types, seeing about 1,000 patients per year. In 2016 a fracture liaison service was developed and began by a committee including orthopaedic surgeon, dentist, physical therapist, chemist, dietician, radiologist, nurse, dental hygienist, medical social worker, public relations officer in 2018. FLS has been mainly assessesing and treating inpatients after surgery and follow up by using telephone calls and mailing for several years. We also give lectures for residents in the immediate area regularly as part of FLS.
