Federal Medical and Rehabilitation Center

Federal medical and rehabilitation Center, Moscow, Russia, serves the population of Moscow and Moscow region (more than 19,000,000 people).
It is a public and teaching hospital with a Fracture Liaison Service (FLS) since 2016.

The FLS service covers outpatients with fragility fractures and patients in Department of rehabilitation in the hospital.

The FLS has 3 traumatologists, general practitioner, nurse and physiotherapist.

The FLS works in close collaboration with endocrinologist outpatient department, as well as other internists and orthopaedic surgeons in the hospital.

Our multidisciplinary service includes traumatologist, therapist, physical therapist. Multidisciplinary team of specialists make individual programmes of rehabilitation for patients with fragility fractures. In the process of rehabilitation we use the modernest developments. Rehabilitation is carried out for both outpatients and inpatients.

To diagnose osteoporosis, standardized questionnaires, physical exams, laboratory tests and DXA are initiated in the ward and follow up is established in the outpatient clinic.

Our multidisciplinary service is highly motivated to further improve dedicated orthogeriatric patient rehabilitation and secondary fracture prevention according to the Capture the Fracture Best Practice Framework.
