Ankara University Hospitals

FLS has been established in Ankara University Hospitals (both İbni Sina and Cebeci Hospitals) at the Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation in collaboration with the Department of  Orthopedics & Traumatology. We give service to osteoporosis patients with or without fragility fractures. Patients who have had fragility fractures (mainly hip, wrist, vertebrae and proximal humerus) are followed up, necessary laboratory investigations and imaging studies are performed and relevant pharmacological treatment and rehabilitation program is provided after surgical or non-surgical stabilization of the fractures. In addition, we provide nutritional counselling, fall prevention training, and exercise programs for people with osteoporosis and/or osteoporotic fractures. Our team includes 4 physical medicine and rehabilitation physicians, 2 orthopedic surgeons, 1 orthopedic hand surgeon, 1 endocrinologist, 1 nurse,  3 physiotherapists and one occupational therapist.
