Sapporo Kiyota Orthopedic Surgical Hospital

We are an orthopedic hospital located in Kiyota-ku Sapporo prefecture. We provide comprehensive treatment from acute phase to maintenance phase with 109 beds.

We provide Osteoporosis Liaison Service & Fracture Liaison Service to improve the initiation and continuation rate of treatment, which includes prevention of locomotive syndrome, Sarcopenia and frailty since 1992. Our team champion is Genichiro Katahira and our team consists of 3 certified Physicians by Japanese Osteoporosis Society, 10 Osteoporosis Managers, 8 type of multiple disciplinary team members, in total 20 members.

The 1^st Osteoporosis Manager was certified in 2015. We have been improving multi-disciplinary collaboration with revised patient diary, interview sheet to screen potential fragility fracture patient, Osteoporosis & Sarcopenia patient flow chart and clinical path for osteoporosis patients. We also initiated the osteoporosis regional network, K-net in Kiyota-ku last year for further improvement of detection, initiation and continuation of treatment.
