This FLS unit is located in Santa Chiara Hospital, Pisa. The hospital system of Pisa serves a population of around 800.000 people.The FLS is intended to provide correct diagnosis, pain relief, adequate antifracture treatment, and to establish an rehabilitation program for patients with vertebral fractures, by a multidisciplinary team in a single visit. Team members Vanna Bottai (orthopedic), Gloria Raffaetà (physiatrist), and Maurizio Mazzantini (rheumatologist) have been working together on this project since 2014.
