FLS in Kek Lok Si Charitable Hospital was started on September 2022 with a team of dedicated doctors and clinical staffs.
All patients more than 50 years old with a history of fragility fracture are recruited.
All patients get a personalised assessment by Orthopaedic Surgeon including Radiography, BMD and Blood tests.
Appropriate osteoporotic treatment will be started as soon as possible.
Referral to dietician and physiotherapist will be done for each patient.
Patients with underlying endrocrine or other medical problems will be referred to our physician in charge.
FLS Reports will be generated and given to patient and their family in the form of email or postage, regarding the following outcome of assessment: FRAX score results, DXA scans results, Vertebra spine xray reports, fall risk factors, medication compliance review, follow up plan, and lifestyle/ health risk factor assessment.
Follow up calls to patient and their family members at 3, 6 and 12 months is done to re-evaluate medication adherence, medication unwanted effects, refracture check, changes in fracture risk factors and any recurrent falls.
