Jose B. Lingad Memorial General Hospital

The JBLMGH Fracture Liaison Service aims to be the first FLS in Central Luzon, with the hospital serving as the main catchment tertiary hospital in the region. The ultimate goal of the JBLMGH FLS is to streamline and optimize the treatment of our geriatric patients with hip fractures, and subsequently prevent any secondary fractures by treating the patient in a holistic manner, with the involvement of the different departments in the hospital such as the Departments of Orthopedics, Geriatric Medicine, Internal Medicine, Anesthesiology, Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Medicine. We have also reached out to our colleagues in the Ophthalmology and Otorhinolaryngology departments in order to address any visual acuity and balance impairments that can result in falls.
