Beijing Friendship Hospital, Capital Medical University
The Department of Orthopedics at Beijing Friendship Hospital, Capital Medical University, was established in 1958. After decades of diligent work by several generations of orthopedic professionals, it has now developed into a comprehensive department with a considerable scale and level of expertise. Currently, the orthopedic department has ten professors and associate professors. Senior staff members have experience studying abroad. At the same time, the orthopedic department also undertakes the clinical teaching tasks of Capital Medical University and the training of doctoral and master's students.
Starting from 2023, our hospital joined the China Osteoporosis Registration and the National Collaboration Network (CORN). The CORN platform facilitates the systematic registration and tracking of patients at risk of osteoporosis-related fractures, enabling timely intervention and comprehensive management.We are presently conducting routine follow-ups with high-risk individuals, administering customized treatment plans, and tracking the efficacy of interventions over time. By participating in the CORN program, the hospital seeks to contribute to national efforts in reducing the incidence of fragility fractures and improving the overall quality of care for patients with osteoporosis.
