The Orthopedic Department at Anzhen Hospital consists of 16 physicians, including 3 chief physicians, 1 deputy chief, and 11 attending doctors, supported by 31 inpatient beds. Each year, the team performs over 700 surgeries, including minimally invasive spine surgeries, anterior and posterior spinal procedures, shoulder, hip, and knee replacements, arthroscopy for shoulder and knee, and treatments for limb trauma and bone diseases, achieving excellent outcomes. The department also manages over 80,000 outpatient visits annually.
With Anzhen Hospital’s renowned expertise in cardiology and anesthesia, we are well-equipped to care for elderly patients with hip fractures who often present with complex heart conditions and advanced osteoporosis. All patients undergo preoperative osteoporosis assessments, including bone density and bone turnover marker tests, with tailored anti-resorptive and osteogenic treatments provided as needed, and continued care through our dedicated osteoporosis clinic.
