Country-Specific FLS Dataset
One of the most significant barriers identified by FLS teams in their work on secondary fracture prevention is the absence of a comprehensive database. In response to this growing need, the IOF, in partnership with local experts, has developed a country-specific Dataset to support the implementation of FLS. This tool is tailored to the specific needs of each country, enabling FLS to collect data in a more organized and standardized way, allowing them to measure their effectiveness, benchmark performance, and assess the impact of secondary fracture prevention efforts.
Why is the Dataset Important?
The Dataset provides a standardized set of key variables designed to enhance the quality of care within FLS, improve data collection, and guide informed clinical decision-making. With this tool, FLS are better equipped to manage osteoporosis and fracture prevention, aligning with Standard 13 of the Capture the Fracture® Best Practice Framework (BPF), which focuses on robust data collection.
