Hôpital la Reine Hortense

The hospital center of our Savoie department is divided into 3 geographical sites: a large hospital site in Chambéry including orthopedic surgery, and 2 others on the city of Aix les Bains (smaller) located about 20 kms but which is a historical place of French rheumatology.

Given this important distance between surgical center and rheumatology department, it was necessary to find a human relay in Chambery for the identification of patients who are candidates for our FLS; we found it to be the person of Dr. Mahiouz who works as a general practitioner in the orthopedic department.

The other particularity is to allow the oldest and most fragile patients, including recurrent fallers to be treated in geriatrics with specific management of osteoporosis as part of a project of day hospital for the faller patients.
Our FLS is young but we are motivated to make it last!
