The Orthogeriatric Co-Management program in Fundación Santa Fe de Bogotá, is led by Dr. Carlos Mario Olarte, orthopedic surgeon and fellow on pelvis and hip trauma. Our program was first stablished in 2008 and it has been operational ever since, working hand in hand with the geriatrics, anesthesiology and emergency departments. We treat patients 65 years and older who suffer fractures due to fragility. Around 400 patients every year. The cornerstone of the program is to provide comprehensive and timely care to osteoporotic patients with fragility fractures from primary care to secondary prevention and rehabilitation. Fundación Santa Fe de Bogotá is located in Bogotá, Colombia and serves an approximate population of 125,000 people.
