Yueyang Hospital is one of the most famous integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine hospitals in China, ranking first for five consecutive years.Spinal Surgery was established in 2009, adhering to the concept of integrating traditional Chinese and Western medicine in the hospital. It has focused on the research of degenerative spinal diseases, combining traditional Chinese medicine with modern medical technology to improve clinical diagnosis and treatment capabilities and academic level.The department currently has 35 beds, with an annual outpatient volume of 50000 visits and over 1500 discharges per year. There are currently 8 professional and technical personnel in the department, all of whom have a master's degree or above in medicine. The undergraduate department follows the concept of combining traditional Chinese and Western medicine, adopts modern diagnostic and treatment techniques, and has developed a clinical method that emphasizes the combination of traditional Chinese medicine as the foundation and Western medicine as the framework. It targets various diseases, including cervical and lumbar spine diseases, spinal fractures and metastatic tumors, scoliosis, osteoporosis, and dislocation fractures. It adopts a comprehensive treatment model that includes conservative, interventional, minimally invasive, surgical, and rehabilitation nursing, and has significant clinical efficacy.
