The rheumatology service is integrated into the Virgen del Rocío university hospital in Seville.
It is a third-level hospital complex of the National Health System that serves a population of 913,000 population.
We currently have 17 staff physicians assigned to the Rheumatology clinical management unit, 2 nurses, 9 nursing assistants and 7 administrative assistants. We have divided our healthcare activity into 2 differentiated blocks: inflammatory pathology consultations and osteoarticular/locomotor pathology. In addition to the hospitalization ward with 6 beds and the day hospital for the administration of intravenous treatments.
We care for patients with various rheumatic pathologies and we have monographic consultations on connective tissue diseases and systemic diseases, psoriatic arthritis, pediatric transition consultation, bone metabolism consultation and musculoskeletal consultations.
We work in a coordinated manner with primary care, traumatology, rehabilitation and emergencies.
