The First Affiliated Hospital of Fujian Medical University(福建医科大学附属第一医院)
First Affiliated Hospital of Fujian Medical University, established in 1937, is a large-scale and comprehensive provincial medical institution. The hospital has four campuses with a total of 4,500 beds and employs over 5,000 medical and nursing staff. With an annual outpatient volume exceeding 2 million visits, inpatient admissions of 120,000, and over 130,000 surgeries performed.
The orthopedic, endocrinology and geriatrics departments of the hospital are dedicated to the surgical treatment, internal medical management, and prevention of osteoporosis. To better address the needs of osteoporosis patients, the hospital has established a Fracture Liaison Service (FLS) task force, primarily led by the orthopedic department. The FLS team is responsible for the accurate identification and continuous follow-up of osteoporosis patients, as well as close coordination with the community.
To enhance data management and analysis, our center has developed a specialized FLS database system. This system is maintained by dedicated personnel responsible for data management. The database not only covers about 800 osteoporosis patients in the local region but also allows for the uploading of relevant content to the national FLS database.
