Clínica Las Américas

Directed by Dr. Gustavo Molina (specialist in oncological orthopedics) and coordinated by technician Carlos González (Diagnostic Imaging Technologist), the secondary fracture prevention center of Clínica Las Américas, a fourth level institution in our health system, has been in operation since January 2018. The clinic is located in Medellin, Colombia and it serves a population of approximately 2'000.000 people. The service treats all fragility fractures and attends around 4500 patients a year, 76% older than 50 years. Of these, 90% are women and 10% are men. Its main objective is to structure a bone, multidisciplinary and differentiated health program for the care of patients at risk of fracture due to frailty, articulating the services of Clínica Las Américas and promoting primary and secondary prevention in this area.
